This intial chat is an important part of working with me because it gives me an opportunity to understand what you might be bringing to therapy and if I can help you. It is also a chance for you to discover more about me, the way I work, and if you feel comfortable talking with me before you book your first session.
I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and I follow it's ethical framework.
To ensure my best practice I have bi-weekly clinical supervision.
I am fully insured and hold DBS checks for working with children from 11 years and adults.
I adhere to data protection requirements and our work is confidential. There can be exceptions to confidentiality in certain circumstances, which we can discuss before we commence agreement to work together.
In addition to my Private Practice Counselling Therapies I also work part-time for a company in the private sector as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor.
£50 for a theraputic hour (50 minutes)
I offer an initial, no charge or obligation, 20 minute telephone appointment where we can assess what you are bringing to therapy and how I might help.
If we commence work, you can stop at any time although I do ask for 24 hours’ notice of any cancelled appointments. The full fee is usually charged for appointments not cancelled within 24 hours.
I ask that we complete a brief assessment and agreement between us as we commence our work.
I do not ask you to commit to any more than the time you wish to book
£50 for a therapeutic hour (50 minutes which will include up to half an hour of sound )
I also offer group sessions for Sound Therapy; up to 4 people in my practice room and charge an additional £5 per person.
Gift vouchers are also avaliable.
Whilst Sound Therapy is not considered harmful, I do ask for a brief consent form before sessions to ensure I understand and can confidentially discuss with you any possible contraindications.
